Terms & Conditions

Please pay particular attention to the Copyright Notice and the FAQ. After reading this information, you can press the "Continue to Registration" button on the right.

About Registration
To request an item, you must identify yourself to the library's system. Registration is the initial step: it creates a record for the system to check your eligibility for this service and to authenticate your subsequent ILL requests. Registration also should be a one-time-only step: you will create a Username and Password to use for subsequent access to Burns ILL Online. Because the Username and Password are selected by you, you will have on-demand, secure access to information about your requests.

About your Username and Password
For these login credentials feel free to choose any username and password that you like. We recommend that you follow good security practice and choose a password that is different from those you use to access other systems, such as the Law School Portal. (The interlibrary loan system is not tied to your portal account credentials.)

Note
Please record your username and password for future reference.

FAQ
Before registering, you may wish to read the ILL@JBLL Online FAQ, which may answer other questions you have about our interlibrary loan system.

Copyright Notice
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
